The United States of YA

The folks at Epic Reads (a HarperCollins site) have put together a really neat map called The United States of YA. They’ve found a book set in each of the 50 states and displayed them graphically. It’s very cool, even though the map only shows the contiguous states. How neat is this? They’re not all paranormal but I wanted to share because it’s such a fun idea.

You can get the full list by visiting their post.

They’re also working on another project: Planet YA. If you’d like to help them with it, follow the link. 😀

I think it would be really fun to do one for YA and adult urban fantasy and paranormal romance. What do you guys think? It might be easier since we wouldn’t have to stick to one publisher. If you have suggestions, leave them in the comments. If we manage to get all 50 states, I’ll put something together!

I saved this map as soon as I saw it! I might challenge myself to read each of them, since I’ve already read quite a few, and a bunch are on my to-read. It’ll be fun to travel the country through books!

I would love a map of UF/PNR across the country! Off the top of my head I know of:

Washington: Georgina Kincaid by Richelle Mead
Illinois: Chicagoland Vampires by Chloe Neill
Texas: Soul Screamers by Rachel Vincent + The Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine
New York: Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward
