This is what is known as a self-aware consumer. When we think and act this way, we are not just acting on our habits and routines. We are actually aware of our choices and what we value.
If this sounds like a bit of a stretch, consider that in the real world, we are all aware of our choices and values, but are unaware of other people’s values and actions. There is a kind of cognitive dissonance when we’re aware of our values, but not of our actions.
The key is to remember that these choices and actions are only choices, and not choices at all. It’s a way of life. You don’t need to know or be very honest about what you want to do. You only need to know what you want to do. You are not a person that wants to be a robot. I think I’ve noticed that this is a good thing for the next generation.

We have to deal with a world of people who think they are entitled to the same things we believe we are entitled to. So, we got to make sure we are not denying those people the truth about who they are and what they can do to hurt us and ourselves.

When we allow ourselves to be vulnerable or scared, we can let ourselves be open and vulnerable. This could be to an individual, a group, or to the whole world. The first time our self-awareness kicks in, it is a scary and scary scary thing to do. Our first inclination is usually to look away, to not notice that we are being observed. We want to hide from the world, but we dont want to be that way. In a vulnerable place, we can become so vulnerable we cant do much to control our response, so we start to cry and scream and we start to become angry.
